The Weight of Oppression Can’t Match Our Resolve

--

This is a short excerpt from our September newsletter — and an important reminder of who we are, together.

Disturbing, racist conduct from our federal agencies.

Disregard for the safety of people of color.

Demonstrations of “justice” that are nothing more than performative politics.

Dangerous neglect of our basic needs.

This is America. This is our government and its current systems. Violent and oppressive. Extractive. Exhausting.

Monuments of our ancestors.

Music from our Black, queer children.

Marches for our shared justice.

Movements for our communities and for our future.

This is us. This is our people — always. Harmonious and empowering. Additive. Liberatory. Keep going.
